The Housemaid’s Wedding
By: Freida McFadden
Synopsis:
This is a short story added on to The Housemaid Series. It is meant to bridge the gap between book 2 and 3, but it can be read after book 3.
Today is supposed to be the happiest day of Millie's life. She is engaged to the man she has dreamed of being with. Very soon she will be at her wedding standing before a judge, where she will get to say "I do" and they will be together till death does them part. The only question is...
Will she make it to the wedding?
My Review:
This short story puts you into suspense right from the start. At first, I thought this would just be a sappy wedding story to fill in the missing gap about Enzo and Millie being married. I was actually pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this quick 63 page book. There were several twists and turns to keep you on your feet in such a short amount of time. This add-on also gave us some insight about how life was when Millie was pregnant and we also get to hear a little more from Millie's parents and their relationship with Enzo. The most important part of this short story is that it really hits home the type of ride or die love that Enzo and Millie have for each other. I think it makes you appreciate book 3 more, especially if you haven't read it before reading this short story.
